Residentials

At Hatfeild, the children in Years 4 and 6 have the opportunity to attend residential trips.

Little Canada, Isle of Wight 2024/25

Year 6 visited the picturesque adventure activity centre on the Isle of Wight at the beginning of Autumn Term. A great time was had by all, as the children explored abseiling, archery, canoeing, orienteering and giant swing.

All activities at Little Canada are designed to develop teamwork, build stronger relationships and promote positive attitudes. The children raved about the facilities, which included a sports hall, indoor activity zone and, of course, their accommodation that provided a cosy space for the children to settle down in and get a good nights rest.

Juniper Hall 2023/24

Juniper Hall is a superb country house dating from the 17th century set in a peaceful wooded valley. It is situated in an unspoilt area of the chalk North Downs and at the edge of Box Hill, Surrey. Being in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, many amazing rivers, deciduous woodlands and grasslands can be found on the doorstep.

This residential encourages the children to get involved and engaged in the outdoors, taking part in hands-on, safe experiences.

The children enjoy wild adventures they will remember forever by:

  • Increased interaction with nature, building confidence and resilience through activities and challenges
  • Encouraging skills in communication and co-operation, with fun team-building games

Introducing measured risk taking to encourage independent thinking.

Stubbington Study Centre 2023/24

Situated on the beautiful Hampshire coast, Stubbington Study Centre is an opportunity for our children to explore a variety of habitats for wildlife, investigate the nearby beach and develop team-building skills through play.

Stubbington offer our children the chance for a pre-visit to calm the nerves of those who are feeling worried about staying away from home. They have the opportunity to go along to the centre and have a look around with their family and friends. The children can have a look in the bedrooms, enjoy a Stubby biscuit in the dining room and explore the grounds.

Our current Year 6 had a fantastic 5 days at Stubbington, observing Badgers at night time, taking part in adventure trails, developing their teamwork through activities like sandcastle competitions and making creature hotels to explore the local wildlife.
