Welcome to the Governors section of our school website. 

Here you can find out information about the school's Governing Body and the work that we do.

As a Governing body our aim is to work in partnership with Mrs Saville and the staff at Hatfeild to support them in making our school the best that it can be. 

We think Hatfeild is a fantastic school and we are very proud of the hard work and achievement by our pupils and staff. 

From 2^nd September 2024, Hatfeild Primary School  will be working in partnership with Joseph Hood Primary School in a hard Federation. This means there will be one governing body for the two schools.

The name of the governing body is "The Governing Body of the Cherrywood Federation”.

The Instrument of Government of the Cherrywood Federation states that the governing body shall consist of:

1. Two parent governors
2.  One local authority governor
3. One staff governor
4. One Executive Headteacher and two Heads of School (one from each of the federated schools).
5. Eight co-opted governors

 The total number of governors is 15 (fifteen). This instrument of government comes into effect on 2 September 2024.
