There are  a number of children at Hatfeild who have a severe allergy to nuts. Their safety is our priority, so in order to reduce the risk to those children who may suffer an anaphylactic reaction if exposed to nuts we strive to be a nut-free school.  We recognise that this cannot be 100% guaranteed, however  we ask all children, parents and staff not to bring nuts or products containing nuts into school on any occasion, including when donating food for events e.g. chocolate containing nuts for tombolas etc.

This is important when preparing packed lunches.  Please ensure that you do not include any products containing nuts for example peanut butter, cereal bars with nuts and nut flavoured yoghurts.  Please note that if your child likes chocolate spread in their sandwiches this should not be a product containing nuts.    Please check the ingredients on the food labels.
